Bit Panda, one of the top cryptocurrency trading platforms in Europe, is rapidly expanding, with Brazil being the next destination.
In this exclusive interview, CEO Lucas Enzesdorfer-Conrad discusses growth plans, stablecoins, DeFi, and the company's unique infrastructure strategy.

Expanding Cryptocurrency Accessibility Since 2014
Could you briefly introduce Bit Panda for those who don't know?
"Bit Panda is a leading cryptocurrency company in Europe, providing a trustworthy regulated platform for digital asset investments.
Established in Vienna in 2014, we were the first to make cryptocurrencies accessible to retail investors. Since then, we have expanded to over 3,200 assets, including more than 600 cryptocurrencies, precious metals, stocks, commodities, and ETFs.
Today, we serve over 7 million users and have partnerships with major financial institutions worldwide."
What does BTS (Bit Panda Technology Solutions) offer, and who are its current partners?
"Bit Panda Technology Solutions is our infrastructure service platform. We enable banks, fintech, and even cryptocurrency companies to offer asset trading.
It is fully modular and integrated, regulated when necessary. Our clients include Deutsche Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, N26, RAKBANK, spanning across Europe and the Middle East.
They smoothly provide regulated cryptocurrency access through us."
Expansion in Europe, Middle East, and LATAM
In how many regions is Bit Panda active, and what are the characteristics of each region?
"We are active in Europe and the Middle East, with global expansion in progress. Each region is unique.
Europe focuses on regulatory compliance, scale, and regulated alternatives. In the UAE, we see strong momentum and clear VARA rules.
Our infrastructure allows us to quickly adapt and meet local requirements."
What are your LATAM plans, especially for Brazil? Do you have partners?
"Brazil is a natural next step for us. It has a young, tech-savvy population with increasing interest in digital assets.
We've assembled a local team led by Rafael Teruskin and are actively seeking partnerships. We are already in advanced discussions.
Brazil's regulatory work adds a strong security layer. We will share updates in the coming months.
Our market approach is always responsible, compliant, and localized."
DeFi, Stablecoins, and Restructuring Real-World Asset Finance
How do you view the short-term and long-term prospects of digital assets?
"In the short term, we expect more institutional adoption and regulatory clarity. Cryptocurrencies will be more deeply integrated into mainstream finance.
Long-term, tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and DeFi/CeDeFi use cases will become structural parts of finance.
We are still in the early stages of fully realizing this technology's potential."
What determines success when traditional players enter the cryptocurrency space?
"Success depends on speed, market entry paths, and trust. Three years ago was the right time to build.
However, partnerships offer a faster route. Choose the right partners, integrate cryptocurrencies appropriately, and prioritize regulatory compliance.
Those who think long-term, build trust, and provide real user value will win."
Building a Practical On-Chain Economy with Vision
You recently launched Vision, a Web3 token. What are your perspectives on the on-chain economy?
"We want Web3 to become more accessible, regulated, and useful. That's why we created Vision.
It connects real-world assets, staking, and loyalty in a transparent on-chain ecosystem. It's practical, not experimental.
As the on-chain economy matures, we want to lead with tools people actually use."
When will the Bit Panda DeFi wallet be available in Brazil?
"We don't have a launch date yet. We want the wallet to meet our standards and the DeFi community's expectations.
Brazil is a priority for us. There's strong interest in non-custodial solutions and broader digital asset adoption."
Why 'Panda'? Is 'Bit' for Bitcoin?
"I wish there was a better story. To be honest, the domain was cheap, and I liked the name.
I wanted 'Bit' in it and also wanted an animal. Bit Panda sounded friendly and strong. So we stuck with it."
Lucas Enzesdorfer-Conrad, CEO of Bit Panda, is scheduled to speak at Blockchain Rio next week. Don't miss the opportunity to hear from one of Europe's top cryptocurrency executives.
