Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat and chairman of BitMine, continued his optimistic outlook that Bitcoin (BTC) could reach up to $250,000 (approximately 347.5 million won) by 2025. Even amid a trend of some experts lowering their target prices, he emphasized that there is still significant potential for growth.
On the 25th (local time), Tom Lee appeared on the Coin Stories podcast and stated, "By the end of this year, Bitcoin will firmly establish itself around $120,000 (approximately 166.8 million won), and eventually could reach $200,000 (approximately 278 million won), and possibly even $250,000." He had previously forecast in November last year that Bitcoin could reach $250,000 within 12 months.
However, not all experts are equally optimistic. While Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, and Joe Burnett, research director of Unchained, have similar projections, some analysts are becoming increasingly cautious, with less than five months remaining in 2025.
In May, investment firms Bernstein and Standard Chartered proposed a year-end Bitcoin price target of $200,000 (approximately 278 million won), while Markus Thielen from 10x Research offered a more conservative forecast of $160,000 (approximately 222.4 million won).
Although Tom Lee's prediction is the most aggressive among multiple forecasts, if Bitcoin reaches this target, the market could experience another historic bull market. The market now stands at a crossroads of whether this prediction will remain a mere expectation or become a reality.
