Hyperliquid held its first offline hackathon in Seoul on September 21-22, 2025, in conjunction with Korea Blockchain Week (KBW).
The 48-hour developer marathon attracted builders from around the world and ultimately selected 13 winning projects with a total prize pool of over $50,000.
As competition intensifies and user expectations rise, Hyperliquid needs a richer application layer to consolidate its ecological position.
This hackathon also means that it is transforming from a pure trading platform to a complete ecosystem, and the outstanding projects among them may become dark horses in the future ecosystem, and it also contains opportunities.

From AI trading assistants to cross-chain infrastructure, from risk management tools to social trading platforms, let’s take a quick look at the top contenders in this competition.
First Place: Hyperliquid Copilot
Project Positioning : An AI-based professional trading assistant that provides institutional-grade trading execution capabilities for Hyperliquid users.
This project was developed by the Wildmeta team and founded by Kevin Chen (@c_kevin75) . Interestingly, Kevin lost $2 million on Hyperliquid on the day of the hackathon, and then won first place that same evening with this project. In his acceptance speech, he mentioned his goal of "incorporating the lessons learned from trading into the Wildmeta product."
Wildmeta is a broader Hyperliquid trading platform that provides trader discovery, a notification system, chain abstraction, and HyperCore/HyperEVM account management. The Copilot feature demonstrated at the hackathon focuses on AI-driven trading insights, including real-time signal generation, automated order execution, and quantitative analysis.
The tool seamlessly integrates with HyperCore and uses AI to analyze on-chain data and market patterns, helping traders improve efficiency. It places particular emphasis on risk management, likely inspired by the founders' own trading experiences.
Current Status : The Wildmeta app is now available for iOS and Android, and is compatible with the Hyperliquid desktop app, requiring no additional wallet setup.
Data performance : According to reports, the platform has more than 1 million PnL users.
Reasons to watch : This is a mature project with an established user base, and the founders’ personal trading experience provides real insights into product needs for development.
Second Place: Edgescan
Project positioning : @edgescan , a smart contract security scanner designed for Hyperliquid and HyperEVM.
Edgescan is a cybersecurity company with over 10 years of experience, specializing in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing services. The company has conducted over 40,000 security assessments and has extensive experience in traditional web security.
The project provides continuous security monitoring services for the Hyperliquid ecosystem, capable of detecting various vulnerabilities in smart contracts, including SQL injection, API exposure, and other critical security issues. The system supports contract scanning on HyperEVM and can identify malicious assets and shadow IT risks.
Edgescan utilizes a hybrid automation + manual verification approach, claiming to achieve 100% accuracy and effectively eliminate false positives. The system integrates with the EUVD (European Union Vulnerability Database) to meet compliance requirements and can scan for over 768 actively exploited CVE vulnerabilities.
Current Status : The basic platform is already fully operational, and a custom scanning feature was developed specifically for the Hyperliquid ecosystem during the hackathon.
Data performance : The company has handled more than 40,000 assessments in the past and has a good track record in traditional security fields.
Reason to watch : As the Hyperliquid ecosystem rapidly grows, security requirements will rise dramatically. Edgescan's mature team and accumulated technical experience lay the foundation for its success in this market segment.
3. HODL Bot
Project positioning : @hlbot_hl , a group trading robot based on Telegram, focusing on long-term holding and risk management strategies.
There is relatively little information about the project team, but the product design shows that the team has a deep understanding of community-driven trading and risk management.
The core of the HODL Bot is to simplify complex risk management strategies into simple actions within a Telegram group. Users can set up automated long-term holding strategies, with the system automatically rebalancing. More importantly, the bot supports delta-neutral hedging, helping users protect the value of their assets during market fluctuations.
The project directly integrates the Hyperliquid API, supporting over 100 perpetual contracts and up to 50x leverage. All operations are completed through the Telegram interface, allowing users to maintain full control of their wallets at all times, without the need for asset custody.
Current Status : Currently running as a Telegram bot, in its early stages. The team plans to develop a native app.
Reasons to watch : Social trading is a key trend in the development of DeFi, and HODL Bot's innovations in group collaboration and risk management are worth noting.
4. Hyper Homo
Project positioning : Hyperliquid's native social copy trading platform.
The team adopted a meme culture and community-driven brand strategy with limited context.
The platform allows users to track top traders' perpetual and spot positions in real time, with support for customizing position sizes and stop-loss settings. Users can choose signals and strategies to follow through community voting, creating a decentralized investment decision-making mechanism.
The project leverages Hyperliquid's on-chain order book to achieve transparent, low-slippage trade replication. Compared to other copy trading platforms, users can see the complete on-chain transaction history.
Current Status : Currently in prototype stage, no product interface is available yet.
Reasons to watch : The copy trading market is huge, and if they can establish a first-mover advantage within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, they are expected to achieve significant growth.
5. STIBS
Project Positioning : Hyperliquid's yield smoothing tool focuses on reducing the risk of drawdown in DeFi strategies.
While little information is available about the team, public information indicates that STIBS reduces the volatility of individual strategies by aggregating and averaging the returns of users' different strategies. The system dynamically allocates between perpetual, spot, and HLP liquidity mining, automatically hedging when funding rates are abnormal.
The innovation of the project lies in achieving smooth returns through a fund pool mechanism. Users can obtain relatively stable APY without having to endure the drastic fluctuations of a single strategy.
Current Status : Currently in the early prototype stage and not yet deployed.
Reasons to watch : Return smoothing is a core requirement of institutional investors. If the product matures, it is expected to attract a large amount of funds seeking stable returns.
6. HyperFlash
Project Positioning : A cross-chain arbitrage engine focused on sub-second execution and zero capital occupation. Github address can be found here .
The project, completed independently by a talented 19-year-old developer, caused quite a stir at the hackathon. Despite his youth, his technical implementation was highly recognized by the judges.

HyperFlash solves the capital inefficiency problem of traditional cross-chain arbitrage. Traditional solutions require pre-depositing funds on multiple chains. HyperFlash, through innovative asynchronous bridging technology, enables arbitrage operations without locking up funds.
The system can complete cross-chain arbitrage in milliseconds, a significant improvement compared to the several minutes required by traditional DEXs. More importantly, the entire process requires no pre-set TVL, significantly improving capital efficiency.
Current status : Prototype demonstration has been completed and technical feasibility has been verified, but it will take time before it can be commercialized.
Reasons to watch : Cross-chain arbitrage is a key requirement for DeFi. If the technical solutions mature, the market potential is enormous. The innovative thinking of young developers is also worth looking forward to.
7. Tetrics
Project Positioning : Portfolio analysis and risk scoring tool.
The team focuses on DeFi risk management and has a partnership with the Anoma ecosystem, demonstrating professional background in privacy protection and cross-chain technology.
Tetrics provides Hyperliquid users with comprehensive portfolio analysis, including risk scoring, asset allocation recommendations, and potential loss warnings. The system monitors users' portfolio risk in real time and provides optimization recommendations.
The project combines the risk management model of traditional finance with the special needs of DeFi, and can handle risk calculations for various asset types such as perpetual contracts, spot and liquidity mining.
Current status : In the early stages of development, the basic framework exists but the functionality is not yet complete.
Reasons to watch : As DeFi users’ assets grow, the demand for professional risk management tools will increase.
8. BASIS X
Project positioning : @BasisFi , an on-chain funding pool for delta-neutral basis trading.
The team has a quantitative trading background and has a deep understanding of basis trading strategies.
BASIS X earns relatively stable basis income by holding opposite positions in spot and perpetual contracts simultaneously. Users can deposit funds into the pool and enjoy the stable returns brought by the delta-neutral strategy.
The project implements a fully on-chain basis trading strategy with high transparency, allowing users to view strategy performance in real time.
Current Status : The beta version has been launched, with a current TVL of $3,790. It is one of the few projects that already has actual fund management.
Data performance : Although the TVL is still small, it has already started actual operation, demonstrating the ability to fully realize the whole process from concept to product.
Reasons to watch : Delta-neutral strategies are favored by institutional investors, with stable and predictable market demand.
9. HyperSonia
Project positioning : AI trading coach, providing personalized trading guidance.
There is relatively little information about the team, but the product features show that they have a certain understanding of AI technology and trading education.
HyperSonia combines semantic search and predictive alerts to provide users with personalized trading recommendations and market insights. The system analyzes users' trading history and provides targeted improvement suggestions.
Current Status : Currently in prototype stage, no separate website or product interface.
Reasons to watch : Trading education is a massive market, and AI-driven personalized guidance is poised to transform traditional learning methods.
10th Place: AlgoGene
Project positioning : Genetic algorithm driven trading strategy generator.
There is relatively little information about the project. It generally uses genetic algorithms to automatically generate and optimize trading strategies, continuously improves strategy parameters through simulated evolutionary processes, and searches for the optimal trading model.
In theory, applying the concept of evolution in biology to trading strategy optimization can discover complex strategy combinations that are difficult to design manually.
Current status : In the early development stage, mainly completing the design of the algorithm framework.
Other special award projects
Spread, RedStone Special Award
Project positioning : NBBO (Best Bid and Offer Price) router, finding the best transaction price for users.
Spread compares prices across multiple DEXs and automatically routes users to the best price to execute trades, reducing slippage and transaction costs.
Current status : MVP version is available and it has won the RedStone Partner Award.
HyperPlug, first place in deBridge track
Project positioning : Multi-chain wallet interaction component to simplify cross-chain operations.
Provide developers with easy-to-integrate cross-chain interaction components to lower the technical threshold for DApp development.
Current status : A developer kit is available.
Hyper Metal (prototype stage)
Project positioning : DeFi risk detector, discovering potential vulnerabilities through on-chain simulation.
Simulate various attack scenarios in real environments to help the protocol identify security risks. Currently in the proof-of-concept phase, we are focusing on security tool development.
