Pump.fun surpasses LetsBonk in memecoin launched in 24h

The memecoin launchpad platform memecoin on Solana – Pump.fun – has regained the lead in the number of newly launched tokens, slightly overtaking LetsBonk.fun. According to data from dune analytics (user "Adam_Tehc"), Pump.fun recorded 13,690 new tokens in the past 24 hours, while LetsBonk had 13,392. However, in terms of trading volume, LetsBonk still dominates with $87.7 million, surpassing Pump's $82.4 million. Vincent Liu, CIO at Kronos Research, notes: "Pump.fun – the older launchpad with deeper liquidation – has just reclaimed its leading position as the PUMP token rises again." Last month, Pump.fun issued the PUMP token through ICO, raising $600 million in just 12 minutes. Although the PUMP price dropped afterward, on-chain data shows the platform has begun a token buyback program worth millions of dollars. According to CoinGecko, the PUMP price has slightly recovered, increasing 17.8% in the past week to $0.003247 – but still down 52% from its peak of $0.006812 after the ICO. Pump was once the dominant memecoin launchpad last year but was recently overtaken by LetsBonk. LetsBonk is supported by the BONK community and integrated with Raydium's LaunchLab. The BONK project – a Solana memecoin born after FTX's collapse in December 2022 – uses 50% of platform fees to buy and burn BONK tokens, while also purchasing BONKsol (liquidity staking token) and supporting the ecosystem. Liu added: "LetsBONK is growing rapidly due to its strong community and Raydium integration. Competition between the two revolves around liquidation and community strength. The ultimate winner will be the one who maintains growth momentum and community engagement."
